During the past year, I observed in an orthodontic clinic, a periodontist clinic, and a general dentistry office. These visitations gave me great insight into the inner workings, patient-clinician relationships, safety and sanitation protocols, and similarities and differences between general and specialty offices. I was quite surprised by how much more relaxed and easygoing the work atmospheres all seem to be.
